2025 Golden Pigtail Finalists

Uh, all seven of my nominated works made it through to the final voting round 😳http://alexasommers.com/the-golden-pigtails-2025-finals/

I took the paywall down for the month on my Medium stories, if you want to check out either Fuck the Rich or The New Sub. Summer Teases 2 and Season’s Spice are both exclusive to Amazon but free to read if you have Kindle Unlimited. Polymonstrous and Polly Jolly Christmas are both 50% off for the rest of the month, or free to read if you have Kobo Plus, and Booty Call of Cthulhu is free to read forever.

I’d love it if you wanted to check any of these out, and would be grateful for your vote. I also hope you’ll check out the other nominees—there’s a lot of great erotica in this year’s slate, and it’s nice to know that even if I don’t win anything this time, friends and collaborators are pretty likely to.

2025 Golden Pigtail Nominations

I, uh, I have SEVEN semifinalists in the 2025 Golden Pigtail Awards. How did that even happen? I’d be honored if you wanted to help any advance to the finals.

I have stories in 2 of the entries in the “It’s Always Better Together” anthology nominees: Summer Teases 2 and Season’s Spice. These are both Amazon exclusive and available in Kindle Unlimited.

Polymonstrous is nominated in the “Being Scared Turns Me On” Paranormal/Horror category. This collects 4 stories originally published on Medium, and it’s available on most ebook retailers, or directly from me if you don’t mind side-loading.

Polly Jolly Christmas is nominated in the “Any Holiday is a Smut Holiday” category. This collects 4 Christmas themed stories. It’s also available widely or right from me.

The New Sub is nominated in Medium Long Erotica, and Fuck the Rich in Medium Serial Erotica. These are exclusively available there for now.

And finally, “Booty Call of Cthulhu” is in the “Shouldn’t You Be Monetizing This?” category, and is free to read in Shousetsu Bang*Bang 117

A big THANK YOU to my editors and beta readers at Exceptional Erotica, Erotica Consortium, and SSBB. I couldn’t have done it without you.

And as for 2026—stay tuned! I’ve been invited to contribute to Summoner 2.0 and I hope to have more to announce soon. The, uh, erotica will continue until the morale improves. And probably after.

New collection! And new publisher.

The cover of Polymonstrous by Polly Liticat features a black and white illustration of a gorgon head, a fierce-looking woman with a dense mass of serpents for her hair.

Surprising me nearly as much as you, I have a new collection featuring the four monster-frolicking stories I published with Exceptional Erotica. You can get it directly from me at itch.io or, well, pretty much anywhere.

For the last 6 years (!) I’ve been publishing at Smashwords with an independent erotica publisher, and I’m pleased to announce I have a new publisher: me. I’ll have more direct control over art and e-book formatting and how I present myself and my author brand.

I’m officially hanging out the new shingle with the first four books to make it over from the old site. I’ll be adding more in the coming weeks, and figuring out how to handle some of the older pieces that don’t meet my current standards for quality.

I’m in a book I’m in a book I’m in a book

The cover of “Season’s Spice: A Sexy Holidays Collection” shows the torso of woman in black stockings and lingerie, with a fur around her shoulders, reclining on a magical snowy, starry night. The book features Ian D. Smith, J. Tiffany Noore, Scarlet Lee Winters, Polly Liticat—hey, that’s me!—and Saddletramp1956

Season’s Spice: A Sexy Holiday Collection is available right now in ebook and paperback from Amazon, featuring my gonzo tribute to/attack on Hallmark-style one-kiss-at-the-end movies, “The Triple-X Holiday Cross-up.” Funny thing about this anthology: we kicked around more specific themes, but wound up writing to the general theme of winter holiday erotica—and then a bunch of us randomly used similar plot elements: dream hook-ups, metatextual references to TV and movies… and background music!

Summoner v2.0

I’ve been invited to participate in and interviewed about Summoner v2.0 an all-new anthology of paranormal romance in the Summoner universe created by Clea Salar and Tallis Salar. The crowdfunding campaign describes it as “a collection of stories by authors who thought the Summoner universe sounded like a fun time, and wanted to write their own story. “ and, friends, not ashamed to say I begged to be allowed to play in their sandbox.

A fun time shall be had INDEED, by me, and hopefully by you, too.

end of summer, back to school?

A woman with pigtails, a white crop top and knee socks, and a red and black plaid tie and skirt constituting a fetish take on a school uniform sits astride a chair, looking provocatively at the viewer

The new sub liked to think he was a Dom, but he was wrong. I can always tell.

(yeah, yeah, technically it’s not til the equinox, whatever)

I teased “Woman of Steel, Men of…” as the second of three “Dark Polly” tales. I really prefer the romantic side of erotica, but for … reasons … it’s been hard to get there lately. “The Forbidden Archive,” with alien robots gayly banging in the radioactive ruins of Earth a century or so from now*, was too dark for its intended market, so you don’t get to see that one quite yet. (Believe it or not, as much as I’ve published this year, there are several stories still looking for the right home.) But a fourth “Dark Polly” story, “The New Sub,” that whoomped up out of nowhere and took me unawares. Read it at Exceptional Erotica!

polly news

I was the July “Editor’s Choice” at Exceptional Erotica! I had to take a pic of the page for posterity 😉

The July Spotlight from Exceptional Erotica highlights the stories with the most claps, most reads, and editor’s choice. “He Watched Me Fuck His Best Friend” by Kaylee Price got the most claps, “Shared on the Sea: My Husband Let His Friends Use Me” by Sophie-Louise Clarke” got the most read and MY “Uncanny Valley of the Fae” was the editors pick, WOO

And! Excerpts from my story “To Stone, Turned” are featured on episode 59 of the “All the Filthy Details” podcast. Find it on Soundcloud, or wherever you listen to podcasts, to hear some quite filthy details. I don’t love being referred to as she/her, but is heady to hear my words spoken aloud by someone else. (Among others, this episode also features Christian Pan who also appears with me in the Summer Teases 2 anthology—and of course you can read both part 1 and part 2 of the unexpurgated “By Stone, Turned” on Medium.com)
